His favorite species of fish to target is Redfish, Big Trout and Snook. His favorite way to target these fish are with artificial baits specifically top water and suspending hard baits however it is his flexibility that has allowed him to help just about anyone catch fish.  Over the course of the last 6 years he has expanded his fishing to Cedar Key and Steinhatchee, Florida. During this time Captain Grant has become an avid tournament angler most recently fishing in the Florida Pro Redfish Series with his partner Captain Mark Brady. He is also very active in charity tournaments benefiting children such as the Doug Johnson Reeling for Kids Fishing Tournament which benefits the Alachua County Boys and Girls Club as a sponsor for the past 6 years.  It’s his love of the outdoors and teaching others what he has learned over the years that led him to become a licensed charter boat captain. Grant is an active member of the Coastal Conservation Association and practices catch and release whenever possible. When he's not fishing tournaments or guiding others, you can still find him on the water or outdoors where he loves to spend his down time. He would love to spend the day on the water helping you catch trophy fish as well as making life-long memories. Got into tournament Fishing 3 years ago and has a few trophies to show for it. Realizing how much she enjoyed being on the water and taking people out to experience it for themselves she decided to get a captain's license and has joined the Florida saltwater Flats team.
